cOLOUR-iNSPIRED bEDROOM

Our client yearned for a “hotel-like” ambiance in this secondary bedroom that was both beautiful and timeless. The challenge we faced was working around a sizeable radiator that our client deemed to be an eye-sore which also impeded on the room’s livable space. The client preferred to keep the closet space open and accessible and to also incorporate the room’s existing dark pink rug. 

To overcome the radiator challenge, a custom radiator cover was designed with rattan and MDF, designed particularly with air flow efficiency in mind. This transformed the radiator from an utilitarian object to a beautiful and completely usable element in the room. To keep the closet space just as accessible as before, we relied on custom window curtains paying special attention to the ease and smoothness of the tracks for everyday use. Identical window curtains are paired for the remaining windows in the room for a consistent look and feel.  

We leaned into the bright pink colour of the rug by designing custom artwork that pulled in the exact pigment found on the rug to display above the bed. For a level of sophistication, we contrasted this with a dark grey accent wall complete with board and batten design for additional depth. To bring a calmness to the space, we layered cozy pillows and throws in neutrals and greys.
